Our first FOUNDATIONS gathering brought students, new therapists, and seasoned practitioners into the same room to learn from nationally recognized educators, clinic owners, and industry leaders. Together, we explored how to stay connected to your why, protect your body, strengthen boundaries and ethics, and apply practical business strategies you can use the next day in your practice. This is the kind of honest, real‑world education many of us wish we had earlier in our careers—and it’s just the beginning.
Foundations Instructors

Thank you to all of the instructors and massage therapists that came together from across the country, on a wintery day in January to gather at Irene’s Myomassology Institute for a one‑day deep dive into purpose, tools, ethics, self‑care, and business development.

What's next? Massage Educator’s FOUNDATIONS is traveling to a city near you to create an in‑person experience designed to help massage professionals build a community of support and careers that are both financially sustainable and deeply fulfilling.

FAQs

  • Does FOUNDATIONS offer continuing education credit?

Whether it is state-offered CE hours or NCTMB CE hours, we do try to secure the most value for students and working professionals. For Michigan FOUNDATIONS attendees, the state approved 8 hours of continuing education credit.

  • Do I need to bring my own equipment?

Generally speaking, no. We try to host events at facilities that offer proper training equipment. Please check the registration page of the FOUNDATIONS event you plan to attend for more details.

  • Can I just come to the meet & greet?

No. Our goal is to build community and learning opportunities collectively. During that time, we extend the learnings offered in the session with product and technique demonstrations that are part of the full experience.
